Get a better XMPP server, or upgrade that one to have a non-terrible
SSL/TLS stack.

In the mean time:

pidgin

Please contact your IT department and tell them about this, give them
the workaround for Pidgin, and generally distribute this as widely as
possible amongst Oracle employees...
