Adding Buddies

Especially if your service is MSN, and you are not using Pidgin 2.7.8, 
then upgrade to that version.

Otherwise you are going to have to tell us a bit more.  Start by telling 
us which service you are using and confirming whether it is possible to 
add buddies using its native client (some in house company servers don't 
allow you to control your buddies).
