Pidgin and the accents

Hi,

I have a little problem with Pidgin 2.6.5-1.fc12 on Fedora12*.
*When i sent a message with accents on the words, by example : énergie,
the contact who received the message he receives nothing.
The message is empty.

I never have this problem before, even when i was on Ubuntu.
My Pidgin version came from the fedora repo.
If someone has an idea where is the problem...

I use jabber.org.
