"Update" feature in Pidgin?

Hello,
is there an Updatefeature in Pidgin?
I have read, that there is a critical Bug in Pidgin an d i have to update!
But haw? I didnt find such "update" opportunity.
If there is no "Update" feature, so write it in FAQs pls, so the people wil
not disappear their time searching such basic function.
