IRC topic date and author missing

Hi!

When joining an IRC channel, there is usullay this two lines printed by most IRC clients:
* Topic for #foo is: The topic text
* Topic for #foo set by nick!user at host.example.com at Tue Jun 22 10:28:48 2010

The date information is missing in Pidgin 2.7.1. (the info is sent by the server
when using another IRC client)

Also entering the command /TOPIC prints the topic text, but not the date and setter.

There is already a similar ticket open, ticket 10458, but I can't add comments there
due to login problems (see my other mail).
