I have installed Pidgin 2.5.5 on FreeBSD. It is able to log in to MSN 
but it sits in a state marked "Connecting" with Yahoo. My user name is 
richardazar at rocketmail.com.

All of the online help pages simply assume that it will work. A google 
search revealed some dns problems with the windows version and 
recommended flushing the cache or entering a specific Yahoo server. 
There is no place to enter a specific server in this version.
