annoying problem with encoding...

hello.
i am using pidgin, latest version on windows, but few months i am
experiencing very annoying problem with some friends while they use ICQ
client.
pidgin cannot recognize their formatting(probably) and text is not readable.

it looks like this:

(18:00:37) xxxxx: <HTML><BODY dir="ltr"><FONT color="#0000ff" size="2"
face="Comic Sans MS"><I>hello friend</I></FONT></BODY></HTML>

^^this is how it looks like.
i cannot use it this way, do you have any suggescions, what to do?
