Changing themes do not work

Hello Everyone (I hope this is the right place to find help),

I've been trying to change the themes for Pidgin. I extracted the theme i wanted in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\share\themes. Then i opened the Gnome Theme Selector, then select a theme for both the 'current user' and 'global', although the gnome theme selector changes themes, pidgin does not. And it seems like the 'global' theme keeps switching back to the 'MS-windows' theme.

Is there anyway i can switch my themes? Because it isn't working.

PS-I am using Windows Vista Home Basic, using the latest Pidgin 2.6.1. Themes were found on art.gnome.org.
