Losing messages in Pidgin 2.7.3

Hi all

I am using Pidgin 2.7.3 on a Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. Somehow I seem to be
losing messages. My friends will paste the chatlog back to me and I can see
I havent gotten several messages. I am only using msn, so I cant tell if it
is limited to this protocol.

How do I find the problem and fix it?
