I am Brazilian and I am having difficulty in Pidgin ...

I do the normal login, I speak with my contacts. but I'm always offiline!
people do not see me online. To them I am always offile.

What can I do? 've uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times but no avail!And I really wanted to use Pidgin
