Issue with Yahoo messenger

I have always had an issue with getting yahoo messenger to work correctly with pidgin. I have verified that my password is correct and I have the most updated pidgin available. Can you help me get yahoo messenger up and going via pidgin please? BTW, I use AOL IM and it works fine with pidgin.
