I'm not aware that it is any more difficult to post a bug than for most
other open source project, and much easier than for most commercial
software. Both the proper email address for this peer support mailing
list and the bug tracker can be easily found, starting at www.pidgin.im.
Help | Pidgin support mailing list for this list and Help | File a bug
report | Create a new ticket | Register to get into the bug reporting
system.

There was absolutely no need to post to all the functional accounts you
could think of.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Are you making a feature
request for support of the SIP MESSAGE method. Prior to the current
version, Asterisk has very limited SIP IM support, as it only works in a
phone call, so Asterisk was not a good server for SIP MESSAGE, and I
think it is still fairly primitive.

You are assuming the organisation structure that goes with a for profit
business. Pidgin is open source, maintained by volunteers.

In fact, the best way of satisfying a feature request is to become one
of the volunteers and write and submit the plugin yourself.

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
