Adding contacts

We have several users in our office running the latest version of Pidgin that are having trouble adding any contacts.  Yahoo contacts started being the issue, and now MSN contacts are an issue.

Also a MSN contact shows online, but doesn't receive the messages

I'm thinking this is because of live.com which can use yahoo or msn Hotmail @ addresses and causes a problem between the MSN and Yahoo interface in Pidgin.

Is there anything you can do to help?  I've looked through the forum, and haven't found a fix for this.
