file share qustion

Hello,

I am using pidgin for Linux Ubuntu & it does not work for me, i was wondering how do you get it to work? i cant send files to anyone or recieve files from anyone...i have only tried this using my yahoo messenger. that is what i am having a problem on. is there a fix? thank you.
