Can't get auto-reply to work for Yahoo

Recently downloaded latest version of Pidgin and the auto-reply just does
not seem to work for Yahoo. Sometimes I can see the reply on my side, but it
does not actually send the reply. Other times, it mostly doesn't auto-reply
at all. I've tried all kinds of settings for idle/away and nothing seems to
make it work. I've tried replies with and without links. Still , no go. This
worked in the older versions with the plugin, but not in this latest
version. Please help. Thanks!
