Installation error

Hello,I've downloaded the pidgin 2.10 offline installer but seem to be getting the "The procedure entry point FT_Select_Size could not be located in the dynamic link library freetype6.dll" error message and the Error : (127). It's extremely frustrating. Please do provide an apt solution.
