disconnected at Buddies box

I installed pidgin. Then I went Buddy List>Accounts>Add Account>Buddy
List>Buddies>
at this point, the "Join a Chat" was greyed out, and there was a message at
the bottom that said,
- Loof at ircforex.com disconnected
Unable to connect: Error resolving irc.ircforex.com: 11001

I uninstalled and reinstalled Pidgin, but I ended up at the same place with
the same error message.
Does anyone know what I should do?
