icon--red circle with slash

Hello. I have an icon near some of the names in my chat list that is a red circle with a slash through it and i'm not sure what it means. I already checked the frequently asked questions list and that icon is not listed. I attached a screen shot of it. Any information on what the icon means would be helpful. Thanks.
