Unable to Authenticate from here

I keep getting this message when trying to use the Pidgin client to login to the AIM messenger service.

“Aol does not allow your screen name to authenticate here”

What the hell does that mean? 
I can log into AIM using their client(which is just the worst), but not their webservice, oddly.

It should be noted that I’m using Windows 7 Ultimate.  It installed an update(security) and then this happened a day later. I’ve since rolled the update back, but still no luck.  

Is anyone else having this issue?
