If it says you have the wrong/invalid password, you have the wrong/invalid 
password.  Pidgin does nothing for this, nor is it a central service.

To solve this, please log into the instant messenger service page you are 
using and verify and/or change your password (for instance, if you use MSN 
Live, please go to live.com).
