Aim not working, ICQ is

All passwords have been confirmed yet ICQ will connect AIM will not.
This issue happened after the latest Pidgin update.
I have also tried a second update thinking there might have been a glitch,
same result, ICQ will work AIM will not.
The error box says I have attempted to connect to many times, wait 10min.
I have not attempted repeat connections but I did try the 10min wait, it did not work.
