a message I sent via IM was mistakenly put in the STATUS area of Pidgin (5 times!)

While I'm tempted to reply with "I don't know, why did you put
HYPERLINK ... \n in your signature", let me instead ask this ... what
third-party plugins do you have loaded?  If you are using Pidgin at
work, you may wish to contact Oracle technical suport.

If this means that you ARE Oracle IT ... who is your boss, and how do
we keep your users from continually asking the Pidgin list about
internal Oracle issues we cannot possibly know about?  Also, is this
HYPERLINK business generally indicative of Oracle IT savvy?
