setting up pidgin

this is the email address that I currently use for 'google talk'.

when setting up in pidgin, I type the following:

protocol: google talk
username: dan
domain: danoconnor2012.com
resource: (blank)
Password: (the password that I use to log in to my email)

could you please tell me what I am doing wrong because it won't connect
I run this email (originally set up in godaddy) straight into gmail
