About the development and maintenance process Pidgin team is using

I'm a student working on my graduation thesis. The topic is concerning
adopting scrum in software maintenance. Thus i wonder whether i could
use Pidgin as the case to support my thesis. So is it Scrum that Pidgin
project is adopting when developing and maintaining?
