Away status indicator/icon missing in IRC channel user list

No. IRC chat participant list, which is part of irc chat window, only shows
yellow star and flag icons for channel admins.  No status, neither green or
clock.

If i add irc user to main buddy list, green icon is always shown regardless
of away status.

This was observed with latest linux and windows clients on multiple IRC
servers.

Ideas?
