That isn't what David said, merely that if it is a bug it can be
reported via the bug tracking system as suggested.

If you tell us more about the services you're using with Pidgin then we
might be able to diagnose the problem and help you. FYI, Pidgin 2.10.7
is available, it might make a difference.
