Issue question

Jeff,

Are you inquiring about CTRL+F on the buddy list or conversation window?
 Windows OS?

If you're speaking about the buddy list, it works for me in 2.10.7.  What
version are you running?

Once it has found the buddy in the list, you have to hit "ESC" or "Enter"
afterward.  If you don't, mouse and arrow navigation of the buddy list is
blocked (a pet peeve of mine, but I deal with it).  I believe this is
inherent to the GTK runtime that is used by Pidgin.
