How To Get Yahoo Messenger Friend On Lubuntu 14.04?

Hello, I have pidgin installed and have the messenger screen up, how can I add a yahoo friend to the list that is now empty?
Also would like to add a friend from google talk?

I have searched and asked forums but no one seems to know how.

Could you please send me instructions on exactly how to do this?
