A few questions:

1. What is your operating system, its version, and can you provide other
information about the computer?

2. Which version of Pidgin did you download and from where? The latest version
is 2.10.9 and it should be downloaded from http://pidgin.im/ .

3. Did you follow this guide -
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/12527/easily-add-facebook-chat-to-pidgin/ . If
not, which guide have you followed?

4. Can you send the relevant logs to a Pidgin developer (*NOTE*: I'm not one)?
