History restore plugin

Not that I'm aware of, at least not within the history section of the
message window.

I tend to use "Conversation, View Log" to go back on previous
conversations.

I have searched the ThirdPartyPlugin database
<https://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/ThirdPartyPlugins#Accountsandlogs> and I
was unable to find a plugin which offers the functionality you are
describing.

I too would like to see this feature.
