Chat room occupants list not displayed

Hi,
I had to re-install Pidgin on my laptop.  Now, the list of occupants in 
a chat room is not displayed.  I'm currently in one chat room which has 
20 occupants, but I cannot see the list on the right of the chat room.   
Anyone know how to get this back?
