name in a chat window

hi!
Is it possible to change a way my name appears in a chat window?
Instead of username at hostname/ #@#@#@#@# as it is right now on google talk account just have username without domain and those weird looking code/number?

I did search thru FAQ

"Is it possible to change the user name that appears in username at hostname?


Go to the Accounts menu.  Select your IRC account and click Edit 
Account.  Click the Advanced tab.  Enter a name in the Username field."

But the problem is I do not have Edit in Accounts, even more, there is no field "Username" under Advanced tab...
