Pidgin uses GTK+ as its GUI library and that is not available for mobile 
platforms, and doesn't, I think, support touch screens. Pidgin itself is 
written in C, not the Java needed for Android applications.

There are, however, many XMPP clients for mobile devices, and you could, 
presumably, use one of those with Oracle' internal XMPP severs.
