Pidgin oddity

I bet that’s it: I had that configured on my machine, not on hers (I set mine up so long ago that I’d completely forgotten about it). Thanks—Eion saves the day again!

Hi Phil,

 

Have you tried using the Message Notification plugin that ships with Pidgin?  (Tools->Plugins->Message Notification)  It has the option to 'flash window' and 'remove when conversation window gains focus' which for me on Win10 keeps the taskbar displaying with a yellow/orange background.

I’m sure this isn’t Pidgin’s fault, but any ideas? I’ve Googled and tinkered with Windows settings to no avail.
