I looked at that too.  I got all the way to having a "SSL handshake error."  I am not sure how to chose the right cipher. I have tried all the ciphers that are included with Pidgin.

Looking at that old support email https://pidgin.im/pipermail/support/2015-July/028968.html it looks like the XMPP Domain is uc.8x8.com<http://uc.8x8.com> - not sure what you'd need to use for username or password though, but you could try whatever details you use to login to their system.

I am trying to connect a linux Pidgin client to my 8x8 account.  I saw a post of someone connecting to their server back in 2015.  I did not see any final result.  Does anyone have any successful integrations?
