Always sowing Available(online) though i logged off from Pidgin

Hi,

I am facing a weird issue with pidgin where my status is always showing 
"Available" to others though i logged off pidgin, even after shutting 
down my machine. I tried all the options in preferences and could not 
find how to resolve the issue.

Could you please help me in this regard.
