<html> in logs

We’re using the Hangouts plugin, so this might be related to that. 

When we reopen a Pidgin tab, sometimes—not always—the older IMs have “<html>” visible in front of the text. Here’s a sanitized example:

(6:12:05 PM) MyWife:

<html>note the leading <html>

(6:12:25 PM) MyWife:

<html>note the leading <html>

(6:22:41 PM) Me:

<html>note the leading <html>

(8:11:00 PM) Me:

this one is normal.

Anyone else see this? Anyone know what causes it? I thought it was happening if I just closed and reopened a tab, but not always.

It’s driving my wife nuts so there’s urgency to fix it 😊
