Pidgin and Google Talk Broken

Hi,

I have used Pidgin and Google Talk for years. Google has now broken this and
eliminate Talk

What is the best/easiest way to replace it. I don't want to have to login to
my Google account to use IM. I want a standalone app that uses Pidgin which
has worked well for years.
