 Perhaps this is related to your crash:
 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349180
 This reportedly occurred a lot on IRC, since messaging services/bots can
 sometimes cause a ton of messages to be received at once. I could never
 reproduce it myself.
