 ari: It was decided after this patch was submitted to remove the .service
 file.

 The reason being that the .service file is only necessary to auto-run the
 program specified  within that file.

 This would cause for some users, the possibly unwanted reaction of pidgin
 running when it was not simply via clicking on a url, (think outlook
 opening up for win32 users when they click any email link).

 Other than the auto-running of the client, there is no use of having the
 file.
