 Conversations should be logged by day instead of by conversation. This
 would make searching through them easier (mostly by file). See
 https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350235&aid=1539020&group_id=235
 The way logging is currently implemented this seems really difficult
 because I don't think C can easily append to a closed file (or at least I
 couldn't figure it out last year).
