 * When picture messaging sends the initial photo, it resizes/encodes it so
 that it can be transmitted quickly.

  * When the user presses save as, there is an option for "Current image
 (faster)" or "Original photo (slower)".  Requesting the original photo
 would then cause the full res image to be sent.

  * Images can be sent from (1) hard drive (2) yahoo! photos or (3) the
 clipboard.  I see (1) being the most important, but (3) combined with the
 recompression makes it really handy to share screen caps.
