Comment:

 I'm going to go ahead and close this.  We have made the conscious decision
 to attempt to create a user interface wherein you do not have to think
 about which account you are using to reach someone, or over what protocol
 you are doing so.

 That being said, users who do want to worry more about accounts could
 achieve the functionality you are requesting by implementing it in a
 plugin.
