 You think breaking the ability to IM someone not on your list because you
 happen to have an alias that is similar is a better thing to default to
 doing than requiring you to hit an extra arrow/enter key or two? I find
 that suggestion insane. We aren't preventing you from doing anything while
 we would be *actively* preventing people from doing something if we
 switched. That's an unacceptable position for us to take. The fact that
 ICQ uins are not easily memorizable is not our fault. Can you tell me some
 other application that has a completable drop down that automatically
 selects an entry when you hit Enter (assuming you haven't typed the full
 entry out)? I can't think of one. Ideally we likely would select the entry
 automatically when there was only one completion left but that doesn't
 work as has been explained.
