 seanegan: I've filed that as ticket #324. I think we should look at
 accepting this patch before 2.0.0 just so it's fixed. We should be able to
 refactor within the 2.x line, as we wouldn't be breaking compatibility
 anywhere; purple-url-handler would take the same URLs and do the same
 thing.
