 I guess it depends on what kind of Perl support we want in the release.

 The libpurple Perl implementation works fine as far as I can tell.

 The Pidgin stuff won't currently compile on win32.  I'm sure I can get it
 to compile, but I didn't work on it because Etan was planning to change it
 to not be Purple::Pidgin.  It does compile on linux, but I have no idea if
 it actually works.
