#333: Idle time not reported after network interruption

Often after experience network interruptions, Pidgin (Gaim) stops
reporting my idle time. This can be annoying since buddies think you are
ignoring them when you are actually idle. This was originally submitted
in September 2006, but no action was taken. I'd appreciate it if this
could be looked into. Below I have include more details from the original
 report.

I am using Gaim version 2.0.0beta6 with one AIM account on Windows XP
Professional. I use a wireless connection to my home router which is
connected to a local cable ISP.

I have a reoccurring buddy pounce setup on myself to pop-up a notification
whenever I go idle or return from being idle. This works as expected: 10
minutes after inactivity a notification appears and again when I move my
 mouse.

However, sometimes I will briefly lose my connection due to a poor
wireless signal. When this happens Gaim will reconnect me, but after that
point I do not become idle at all. I must quit Gaim and launch it again
for my idle time to be reported. It's possible that the buddy pounce is
not working after reconnect, but I don't believe this is the case.

My understanding is that the previous idle time should be reported upon
reconnect. Even if this is not the case, I should become idle again after
10 minutes but this is not happening.

Any clues? Version 1.5.0 did not have this bug from what I remember.
