 when I start finch, freenode and pidgin.im don't connect, write errors. I
 tell each to connect, irc will, pidgin.im won't. same error.  I tell it a
 2nd time, and it does.  This happens consistently.

 My suspicions are that either it cannot handle the number of connections
 I'm making at once, or that it cannot handle more than one account at a
 time with autojoin chats.

 I have not noticed this with Pidgin.
