 This is apparently the way it's designed right now. (I designed it, but I
 forgot.) We can solve the multi-day log issue (the most common reason the
 issue reported here might be a problem) with a log timeout, as described
 in ticket #378.

 If you want this functionality for some other reason, please re-open this
 ticket (or let me know if Trac doesn't allow you to do that).
