 "it" is you, and if you are using Windows then my method won't work
 because there is no purple-send for Windows yet (and I was pretty sure you
 were using Windows when I said it but needed to put it out there anyway).
 I'd just move the buddies you need to talk to quickly to the top of your
 buddy list and be done.
 There exist hotkey applications for Windows but they wouldn't be able to
 interact with pidgin.
